Library permit
For performing research at library, one need to get a permission for work at a library from the ministry of Culture and therefore this process needs time. Researcher who wants to carry research in Turkey for longer than three months then should apply for the research permit from the library and other sponsoring institution. One need to secure a research visa from a Turkish Consulate before entering to Turkey. After that they need to procure a residence permit from the local authorities within 30 days of arrival.

In some case museum researchers can use tourist visa with the museum director. Researcher should submit their research permit application to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums. Applicants should send a copy of application to the director of the relevant museum as well.
